About Mia Carlin

Mia Carlin is a singer / songwriter in Jacksonville Beach, Florida & sings a wide variety of genres including alternative music, hard alternative rock, Emo, Indie Alternative music, show tunes, musical theatre & her most recent & current genres, trip hop, jazz & downtempo jazz which is the genre of her debut album “Red Bottom Shoes” expected to be released in the summer of 2025.

Mia Carlin has a seasoned background in the performing arts since early childhood.

She began her career as an actress at the age of 5 years old, performing in local plays and musicals. Her acting career continued well into adulthood; her last performances as an actress in musical theatre, cabaret & pulp fiction theater at Boomtown Theatre in 2006.  

Prior to Boomtown Theater, Mia was the lead singer/ songwriter on different musical projects of various styles.  Mia was the cameo singer on a hard rock version of George Michael’s “Father Figure” with singer, musician & producer Lee Miles in 2002. Following that, Mia sang for the alternative rock / emo band “Episode 26” in 2005 & the trip hop duo “Future Ancestors” engineered and produced by Natti Productions in 2006. Mia was also featured in a couple of indie /alternative songs alongside singer & guitarist Billy Galen with the indie label Guitar Loft Records in 2006. 

Also an artist and writer, Mia continued her creative ventures as a freelance writer / art & rock journalist for a local dark alternative magazine “Movement Magazine” in 2007. 

In 2022 Mia explored a career in the spiritual arts & created the small business “Eclectic Blessings” where she made and sold “Blessing Boxes” also known as spiritual House Blessing Kits.  Mia’s goal was to bridge the gap between metaphysical practices and Christian traditions & prays a personal Christian blessing over each box she makes. Mia also makes her own essential oil blends and essential oil sprays. 

August of 2021 two songs, “Sonadora” from Episode 26 & “Hi & Goodbye” from Future Ancestors was played on the Milwaukee radio station “Riverwest Radio” along with a 30 minute interview with Mia about her music career.
